Ciao,

I'm Amy.

I hail from Chicago, renowned for its harsh winters, stunning architecture, and occasionally, milkshakes crafted from chocolate cake.

(However, we also have beautiful summers and indulge in the delight of a thick, cheesy, sauce-filled disc we call "pizza.")

I am currently honing my skills in UX/UI design as I oversee a local branch of an international bookstore. I discovered my passion for the arts & design while studying Film Production Design & Art Direction as an undergraduate. Next, I obtained my MA from the University of Chicago, where I studied Art History and the European Renaissance.

As a designer, I believe in designing with purpose, valuing functionality in addition to making things look good. I am a maximalist by heart, but can adapt my style to suit the needs of the client.

Between my backgrounds in film and art history, I have learned that I thrive in collaborative environments, can pivot and analyse between creator and user perspectives, and can take charge when needed. I am also curious and always keen to learn and improve every aspect of myself.

Outside work, you can find me visiting museums, aggressively loving my cats, or busying myself with my various craft hobbies. As an art-lover and frequent traveller, feel free to ask me why Renaissance babies look like that and my recommendations for the best cocktails in Florence, Italy.
